I'm very proud of this one. I have never drawn fur before, so I know I have to improve.
Again, my scanner is a big rubbish, but I hope you like it. When I have another option I'm gonna update it. So what do you think? Comment if you like it!

Overall, excellent!

There are a couple things I wanted to mention (I don't feel right doing a critique unless I help you some way):

First, the hair is not quite right, I think. Alvin has a set of bangs that form sort of a mohawk and curl over his forehead a bit. You can see him brush through it when Ian is talking about lip-syncing in the first movie.

Second, the eye on the left looks like it needs to pull in a bit. He looks sort of like he has a lazy eye, and if you pull it in it would appear as though he is looking at something "off-screen" rather than staring blankly. It would add more life to him.

Other than that, you really can't fault this drawing! The proportions are spot-on, the fur has exactly the right tone, and you have a great sense of composition! I'm sure you might have been expecting more from a critique, and if I had more to give I would, but I just can't fault this drawing. It has just the right balance of style over reproduction.

Very nicely done. Everything from the shading to the background is just magnificent. The amount of detail on the fur is some of the best I have seen. The fact that you have not drawn fur before does not seem to be a problem, because you look like a natural. The expression on Alvin's face is great. The eyes really stick out for me, but in a good way. The collar on the shirt seems a tad bit off, but that might just be me, or due to the scanner. Either way, this is a very nicely done piece overall.
