I'd like to give it to you. It was my mother's (my pa gave her when he proposed her). You know I'm not very good with words, so I'll just say it. I know I'm just a simple farm pony and not pretty as you are, but if you feel the way I do accept this little trinket of affection with the promise: I'll be by your side every day, will make you happy when you're sad and sit besides your bed when you're ill. If your barn door doesn't swing that way, you need to know I won't have any hard feelings. And in that case keep the necklace anyway. It'll make you the most beautiful mare Equestria has ever seen.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactSince RariJack is one of my OTPs, I already have a liking for this picture without even reading the letter. But this picture has something more. I really love this picture because of the emotion that is conveyed to the viewer. Firstly, that is how I picture in my head Applejack proposing to Rarity through a letter. Secondly, yes, it clearly reveals Applejack expressing her love and adoration of Rarity, but there is also a hint of mystery to the piece by which I mean the viewer can expand upon a plethora of different reasons why what's happening in the picture is happening. Rarity could be reading this on a train; she could be reading it in her own home. Applejack could have sent the letter from a vacation in a faraway place, or she could be sending it from the confines of Ponyville. Or maybe she could be sending it from beyond the grave. Perhaps she has passed on and wrote the letter ahead of time, and it is just now getting to Rarity, being the reason she's crying. Now on to the quality itself. This was drawn impeccably well, the contours of the lines seem to go on forever. There is a great balance between lighting and shading. The only complaints I have is the size of Rarity's horn and ears. They seem disproportionate to the size of her head. Other than that, I am thoroughly impressed by this artwork, thoroughly impressed indeed. A very, very wonderful fob.
