The feels, man..

The subtle use of contrast is great, and the relative lack of it creates the most melancholy feel...the only thing holding it back is the fact that this is already a trope, but that doesn't keep it from being another great Shoot above piece! Also, the lines are meticulous, and the shading intricate. Could you please tell me what software you use? I'm trying to get into digital art myself, and would love some assistance from the artist who made this.
